This was just an OK foundation. The coverage was decent and no break outs, but it didn't hardly last at all. No perfumed smell or bad odors, and it was creamy and applied nicely. It never settle into pores or fine lines. It comes in a pump, which is great for not contaminating the rest of the product. The bottle is glass, which I wouldn't have expected from a Jane product. This stuff is OK, but I wouldn't recommend it because it just doesn't last long.
Pros:No breakouts, no bad smells, applies nicely, doesn't settle into fine lines or pores Cons:Coverage is only OK, doesn't last long
I bought this at Rite Aid. I have been wanting to try a gel liner for awhile. The consistency is quite smooth. Easy to get product on the brush(comes with a really nice natural hair brush) without putting on too much. It comes in a glass jar with a silver plastic lid. I really love this liner. I had never tried gel liner before, and the first time using it I lined my eyes perfectly. It lasted all day, and didn't smudge. I would buy this again, and am going to go back and get the 3 other colors it is offered in. The only drawback is that it didn't work well for the water line. After only maybe 2 hours it had begun to come off.
Pros:Looks good, applies like a dream, comes with a very useful brush, nice deep black color, long lasting, doesn't smudge Cons:Doesn't stay put on the water line
I got this during a buy one get one free sale. I was hoping it would be a good brush for applying blush or bronzer. I don't like this brush at all. It sheds, isn't very dense, and the bristles aren't very stiff. They bend way too easily. They do feel soft to the touch, but they just don't pick up much product or apply it very well. I wouldn't purchase this again.
Pros:Price Cons:Sheds, doesn't work well, not dense enough
I bought this on sale yesterday at Rite Aid Bogo and am so glad everyone here recommended their shades!! They're so pretty!! I bought this in Orchid which is a kinda bright pink shade in the container with a light sheen to it, very pretty. I love bright pinks because on me, when applied lightly, they create the natural blush look that I adore with every look. I was planning on buying Mac in Swoon (about the same but not as bright) but for $1.74, forget about it!! This is my HG blush!!!
UPDATE: Unfortunately not my HG but still a fav depending on my mood. I noticed that it made me cheeks look blotchy after two days while wearing it and I know how to use blush. I think it broke out very small pimples and bumps that weren't there before (not huge and noticeable but enough for to be able to tell that they weren't there before.) Plus the sheen was a bit too much for me. I love the color but nothing is really worth it if I have to break out for it. The weird thing is nothing breaks me out!! My skin is so unsensitive to lots of stuff that when something happens I notice immediately!! Although I was pms'ing so I'll give a later update when I'm not. It might've just been my hormones getting wild on me.
Pros:Was really pretty, could build up color, last all day Cons:broke me out
While I literally have yet to have this on for a whole day, The color is not a metal looking as it is in the container. I've been searching for the perfect gold to warm up my lids as a wash or for a minimal makeup day. This was the perfect color when I applied it. I've got other golds but either they have too much sparkle or don't stand out enough. This one was perfect for me though, colortone and everything!!! It really brings out my brown eyes without making me look washed out!! Although, I will re-edit my review when I wear for a whole day to see how long it stays for.
Pros:really pretty shade of gold, cheap, especially on bogo Cons:not sure if it last all day
I have so many eye shadows but I'm still in search for a dupe for Elizabeth's Ardens Moonstone. Arden's has the perfect shimmer and white color ever. It stays on forever and is perfect to highlight and apply on the inner corners. This however is not it. It's really matte and when applied, it looks way too sheer and wipes off easily. I'm looking for something that has way more shimmer than this. It might be a nice add for someone who is just starting their collection but it just wasn't for me. (It might work better for someone who doesn't have oily lids but I need something more heavy duty; oh and I always prime my lids)
Pros:cheap Cons:doesn't last, doesn't even stand out
For such a low price, I absolutely LOVE this shade!!!
It's a really matte, dark-chocolatey-brown shade. Looks so good as a contour/crease colour, and eye liner color. I even sometimes use it to fill in my brows!
What are you looking for when you want a black eyeshadow? Something that will actually turn out to look dark, not light grey on your eye. There are about a zillion eyeshadows out there that look dark in packaging but barely show on they eye. I'm happy to say this is not one of them! It's great as a liner or shadow and creates a really dramatic look-- but is buildable. I think my pot of this will last me forever because you dip into it once and you've pretty much got what you need. I've done so many smokey eyes with this and it's always great and has nice staying power.
Only thing I can say against is that you need to watch for "fallout" on your cheekbone if you apply with a brush. i think the shadow can sometimes go airborne and easily land on your cheek. I have a magnifying side to my mirror and this stuff has totally left it's tracks. but it doesn't always happen, and if you're at least a little careful about how you put it on, you'll be fine. Once again, great stuff!
Pros:pigment, staying power Cons:occasional fallout (nothing extreme)
I love some of Jane's e/s and lippies..but this mineral foundation was the pits...The packaging is a little awkward having a sponge applicater built in..it was very hard to get smooth..and I even tried a kabuki to get a better application...didn't work well...It did not last but a couple of hours..then it was off my face..thank god this was half price. I will def not ever purchase this again...
JaneSheer Protection Formula (with SPF 15). I really like it, it stays on all day while I'm at work and if I ever rub my face on my shoulder it doesn't come off on my shirts very much, like my old powders did.
I makeup for foundation haters I think. It's very low maintenance, just like putting on a lotion that happens to be coloured.
It's the perfect foundation for me because I'm not big into heavy makeup, I don't have very many skin issues except some uneven tone. I put it on like a lotion and it's a sunblock so I plan to use it all summer.
Problems - it isn't even remotely water resistant, when I wash my face at night it comes off really easily, but if I were to go swimming it wouldn't stay on well either (what would though. . .?)
Also, the applicator is this odd little plastic paddle that doesn't make sense to me so I blend it on my face with a makeup sponge.
Pros:SPF 15, very light and comfortable, sheer, flexible Cons:applicator is useless, sponge required. Doesn't cover much, very sheer, not water resistant.
This stuff is great, to my surprise. I wasn't expecting much but so far the staying power is great. I got it in the shade of 'sterling' and I can't complain. I put my regular eyeliner on my waterline and then top that with this Jane Liguid eyeliner and it looks fab. I also line the top lid of my eye. I love it!
This is one of my favorites because of the price. I do wish it had a little more shimmer but it still has some. It really opens up my eyes especially after a long night.
I absolutely LOVE this product. I got mine in a 6-color pallette and Clubbing is my favorite. I can use it as a shadow, a liner, and even a brow liner if I am going for a more dramatic look.
The color is a deep black and it goes on very smoothly and evenly. I didn't have to apply too many times for it to show up and it lasted me a few hours before it started to fade.
